Okay I’d like to think I’m a fair and reasonable human being, so I tried something which I most likely will never try again and that was give this seasons new shounen-ai show Antique Bakery a shot. I knew I would regret this but I am a little worried that I don’t completely regret my choice as much as i feel i should.
So lets start from the beginning with the op. The song....well i would never choose to listen too but it wasn't the most ear grating piece of jpop I've ever heard so +1 on that. The artwork is also interesting with all the characters shown as 2-d cut outs in a 3-d environment which blends here in the op much better than it does when attempted in the show so another +1. Now for the show itself, i was expecting melodramatic drama on par with what i find in most yuri shows, and i was right to an extent, but also very wrong. The characters are obviously the focal point of this show and there all believable and likable (some personality quirks not withstanding), and i found myself engrossed much more in their stories than i thought i would. At one point especially at the end of episode 1 I found myself empathising with Ono. So needless to say the story defiantly be(which is why i decided to check this out because of all the praise the story was getting not to mention awards)Another thins i appreciate (and i use appreciate very loosely) is the fact that yaoi esq moments are relatively few and far between and are really just fan service to all the screaming fan girls. Also episode 2 revolves around the mans mans world of boxing, and that definitely gives it the variety shows like this usually need. So lets give the story +1. Now moving on to something that isn't so good the animation. The first episodes animation was absolute shit. Now don't get me wrong Ive seen worse but out of all the shows I've seen this summer this has the worst animation of them all. One moment in particular in episode one involved the two male leads walking down the street, and it seemed that this challenged the animators a little too much. This isn't the first time I've seen this walking in place problem, but its the first time I've seen it in awhile. However the animators seemed more tasteful in covering up there lack of budget in the fallowing episodes. Another issue is the blending of 3-d back rounds with traditional animated character. This does not blend well at all almost 90% of the time. So for animation -1. Music didn't really stand out at all on account of i never really noticed it so i can't really comment on it. The voice actors did a respectable job and all the voices seemed to fit the characters but again considering i did not have a predetermined notion on this series i really can't comment again. I did like how they did the sponsor ad, random, yes but something a little different made it stand out, not having the creepy guy or far too cheery woman say it. Anywho overall much better than anticipated, but at its worst its still shoun-ai so not my genre of choice, however anyone with an open mind and any fan girl especially will love this show. i think i gave it 3 +1's and one -1 so lets give antique a 2..... 2.8787

hmmmm, i love internet blocking, i really do. On my random quest to avoid all forms of work i found myself viewing every single webcomic ever created, that is until i came across one that was blocked for being tasteless and offensive. Now think about that for a moment. There just running out of reasons now to sound like nazi's. Anywho a word of advice don't eat mashed potatoes for lunch, raisin bran and orange juice at 1 am then more mashed potatoes the next afternoon. About the only thing that'll make my ass normal again is to start eating rocks.

Man do i feel straight
So i just got done watching Otoboku, and man do yuri comdeys really hit the spot. (before you go on if you don't like misogynist statements or are a prideful lesbian etc. i would not suggest reading on i have no idea where this will go) Who ever invented Lesbian comedy's i want to kiss, and hopefully its a chick....a hot lesbian chick...with a hot lesbian friend(s)...who like to dabble in dickery.....yeahh. Well even if it was a dude I'd still kiss him cause i feel very confident in my sexuality after just watching lesbian innuendo for 12 episodes ( not that i ever feel un confident in said sexuality but remember lesbians try to keep up). There's something magical about sexually repressed girls, catholic private academy's, and dorm rooms that just speaks mountains of how beautiful the human nature can be. Sure the main character was really a guy but that's besides the point they thought he was a chick and its the thought that counts, and besides if there lezing it out with the main character who isn't really a chick you can imagine that there lots going on behind the scenes. Now sit and consider these scenarios Okay glad to have you back. Sure the show had its problems, number one being that it was based of an eroge (for some that's not a problem) but for me I'm looking for deeper more meaningful lesbians. Sure any and all drama was absolutely retarded in nature MY BOW oh shit or how everyone overreacts to the gayest (no pun intended but ill take it) scenarios, these girls need o chill the fuck out get bitch slapped and told there problems arnt really all that big of a deal......but its okay because there lesbians and hot ones at that (minus the loli characters, I'm not all about that but its okay because shes a lez) So women if you learn anything from these shows with retarded plots lines, random and unneeded mechs, needless drama that is trying to be handled seriously but falls flat cause for various and obvious reasons. Anything is cooler when it involves Lesbians, think on that, embrace it, and practice it.
NEWS NEWSnews
The “people” at my place of vocation really need to learn that I'm not suited for manual labor and stop whoring me out to other departments. Seriously do I look that strong to you, i’m more suited to sitting at the desk and pretending to work but alas m problems are really nothing, but ADV's are real. Or are they? Lots of announcements following AX08 (some pertaining to the con and some not) have got me excited. The first and foremost would be Funmations rise to fuhrer. Fumimation is not only absorbing most of ADV’s “discontinued” series but also a lot of (if not all but I’ve haven’t checked the numbers) of Geneons old catalogue. This is good news for people who actually buy anime (but who does that) Lets just hope funimation doesn’t grow past a level they can handle. Also from Funimation it looks like Ouran is finally going to come out and I repeat finally and also Greg Ayrness level of dickdom is only superposed by how much of a tool he is (look it up). Seriously look at a picture of the guy and then watch him try and look cool, then again at any anime convention it’s really not hard to not look like a freak. Any who, back to the main topics at hand, here's where I got a bit lost apparently ADV is not finished yet and they’ve secured funding and are planning on licensing 23 new titles in the future. Yet why did they discontinue so many current series and sell the rights to many others? Maybe its just copyrights issues, who knows. Another odd thing is that in the second paragraph ANN stated they were not looking to acquire any new titles at the moment…so who knows but its not the first time ANN made a dumb mistake in the wording/grammar department, kind of funny to because they try to be serious journalist. I hate because I love though.
Out side of AX08 there’s been some bigger announcements, Full Metal Alchemist 2 anyone? Too bad its all what ifs right now, but all the leaked information and how they’ve handled it so far points towards a very good chance of this coming to fruition. Also Darker than Black 2 but I never made it far in that series so I could really care less, but good news for the fans. Kondsha USA (hope I spelled that right) has officially listened spice and wolf, so I defiantly stoked on that. No word yet on which studio will be handling the publishing duties. I have a feeling though that Kondsha will start handling their own domestic properties. Which I think may be a good thing but you can never be sure when dealing with the more Japanesey companies. See how that worked by looking at Bandai Visual. And now on to them, now they are called Hamonies or something (like wings of?) so I have no idea where they got that, they really could have just stayed Bandai visual for all I cared. One good thing is that the company was directly assimilated into Bandai Entertainment, and there was no “staff restructuring” which is defiantly always a good thing. There new plan if you haven’t heard if yet is to still do niche very Japanese like releases, just a bit cheaper now……awesome revelation guys, the only problem is…there still expensive as shit (who would buy expensive poo). But I guess paying 100usd for something that in Japan would cost 130usd isn’t that bad…. I guess. Another avenue there strolling through is Blu-ray. Yeah, not happening, I was very excited for blu-ray when if first came out, but if paying out the ass is what come along with high def I’ll stick to DVDs (which look good enough as is in my o-pin).
So mostly domestic re-release news and nothing really about any new domestic licenses or at least any that caught my eye. But it’s always a good thing to not have to worry about not being able to get all the old titles.
If I think of anything else ill post but for the most part these are the headlines that I could think of from the last week off the top of my head that interested.

Man do i feel gay
So has anyone noticed (and boy do a feel like a fag for noticing, no offense to fags of course)the contradictory elements of shojo vs. shonen manga. On one hand you look at...well almost any shojo manga and you have these (in the eyes of the characters)unanimously hot males, yet they look like fucking 80's rejects, with weird lips....this is getting gay time for next point

(I've never read this but i can assume that those (and yes they are just revered to as those) are the main "interests" Now i may be wrong as i don't have a vajay but what women would want a red head with dreads? hmmm)
Now look at any and i mean any shonen manga....all of a sudden everyone becomes a fucking fashion designer.
Why is that?
(i may have just thought of the answer)

shut your mouth when your talking to me PT.2/And a rant to go along with it
Now recently and by recently i mean going back months I've been noticing a new trend, people hating on rpgs. Now i understand why this may be the case as rpgs are not every ones cup of tea, however all there arguments are insanely stupid. People hating on rpgs for beings, rpgs. These complaints run the gambit and some are valid, though still seem idiotic in execution. Here's an example from Game Informer's fan letter section, I'm not gonna quote exactly cause I'm to lazy to find the magazine. Basically this moron in question stated that the combat in mass effect was no where near the level of other shooters (i think he said halo but I'm not sure) and that the first hour was horrible because all he did was run around the starting city to only reveal more story. i don't think i need to elaborate on whats wrong with this statement or what GI's response was.
Yet it seems that even more reviewers are striding in this direction. More and more often I'm finding that reviewers are faulting rpgs for lack of innovation. While gripes about the story don't bother me (because i do realize when something becomes very cliche) what does bother me is when they start complaining about lack of innovation in the gameplay. "Turn based battles are 15 years old now and really should see some innovation" wtf that's like saying that shooter would be better if you didn't shoot so many people.
Or maybe the reason lye's in cutural differnces and the stream of fucking annoying retarded people who play halo like its a religion. I was perusing Machinma videos on youtube (why idk they fucking suck and love to constantly make rip offs of red vs. blue with bad voice acting and zero humor). The video in question was a preview for some Valkyrie game for psp i don't remember that looked action rpg-ish(and not Valkyrie profile so don't try to correct) anyways one video comment (and forgive me if i don't get all the euphemisms of his perfect example of the English language) went something like this.
"Wut iz this, its sum stpid jap shitz. I thughtz it waz for Halo valkyre mapz wtf"
emmmm breath in the culture that is the xbox 360. (and yes i do own one so I'm not just being an uninformed douche or a PS fanboy)
